Hi HN, I'm Adam. I built Cinnamon DB because I felt a piece was missing: a better way to navigate the whole landscape of film and TV, and find what to watch next based on what you like and how you want to feel. It's also a gap AI struggles with. Ask a chatbot for something that feels like a film you love and you mostly get the same famous titles. The data describing how films feel didn't exist. Cinnamon DB is that layer: every film and series on it, over 60,000 in total, is read on twenty measures of how it feels, such as warmth, darkness, tension, melancholy and comfort. Pick a title you love and you get films like it, the same mood, something darker, something lighter, and lesser-known picks. Or search by mood, or shape your own mix. Free, no account, no ads. Built solo with Next.js on Vercel and Postgres + pgvector on Supabase.
